This post is inspired by Valentines Day and what romantic things you can do in Savannah, Georgia!
Valentine’s Day is full of love, flowers, and candy, and comes along every year, some “love” it, some don’t, and I am the former! I LOVE VALENTINES DAY!!! My poor husband probably despises it, but he loves me and puts up with me and my high expectations anyway 😉 What a guy right?!! Every year we do something special for V-day, and this year was no different! We have been on a budget, trying to rehab the house and all, so I told him lets make memories instead of spending $ on an expensive dinner, candy, flowers, cards, dessert, and whatever else we could possibly splurge on! So he planned a day-trip but kept the location a secret until we arrived there! I am a hard girl to surprise, but he did it! yay!
So we started the day early by packing snacks, drinks, filled up the car, and off we went! I had a sneaking feeling we were going to Georgetown or Murrell’s Inlet, but when he started driving the opposite direction, then I was stumped. I thought, Beufort again? we already visited there? Passed Beufort…so all that was left was Hilton Head, which would be awesome, but passed that too?! WHAT? Where in the…? Pooffff, were in Georgia? How did that happen??? Were in another state already!? I had no idea Georgia was that close, 1 hour and 45 min from our house. CRAZY! So we spent the day, our Valentines Day, in Savannah, GA, and it was perfect! He totally surprised me, and swept me off my feet! He also booked us a river view table at a wonderful restaurant for lunch! IT WAS DELICIOUS! I had the Shrimp, Oyster, and Crab Stew, and he had Fried Chicken!
So here are our top 10 romantic things to do in Savannah, GA!
1. Walk River Street with a glass of wine or a beer
2. Eat lunch at Vic’s on the River
3. Climb the Historic Stairs, holding hands!
4. Take a picture with a river boat or statue!
5. Shop for keepsakes at the market on the river front
6. Visit Forsyth Park ! Our favorite by far!
7. Take a stroll among the historic homes and mansions
8. Window shop the designer shops on Broughton Street
9. Take a free fairy ride to the Savannah International Trade & Convention Center
10. Check out the Historic Distict or Take a Trolley Tour
And more pictures of our day trip to Savannah, Georgia!
So as you can see by our pictures, we had so much fun exploring! The only $ we spent was on parking, $10, and our lunch, which was about $60, we had drinks, appetizers, and our entree, so much more affordable than a fancy dinner! The rest was just exploring and a trip I will always cherish!
Until next year love bugs, have a Happy Valentines Day!

it was very romantic! I was shocked we didn’t spend very much, and we even splurged on lunch a little too, but still way less than dinner would have been!
